AFPA Certified Prenatal and Postnatal Personal Trainer
I am new to this personal trainer world. I have been a certified trainer for a little less than a year. I have worked with a personal trainer for about 3 years. I would say my experience comes from being a client and understanding the needs. I would say my knowledge comes from my personal experience and education!
I always like to start with a consultation. The top priority for me is finding out what my clients personal goals are and finding out how I can be a tool for them. I am hold you accountable day in and day out but you have the make the conscious effort. Once we have established good goals then from there I build individual programs. I like to take the program week to week. I want to see how your body is responding. I want to understand where you are at mentally as we go into each workout. I don’t just want to write you a whole month of programmed workouts and half of that month you struggled and didn’t benefit from it.
I would say my specialty is pregnant or postpartum women. Working out pregnant or “too soon” after birth always seems scary! I help it not feel like that! Even if your youngest child is 7 years old. You are still a postpartum mother, in my eyes. Having babies that’s a toll on our bodies and it is possible to feel strong after!
